REQUIREMENTS
PLEASE NOTE:
- Documents that are not in English must be accompanied by a certified translation.
- US/Canadian citizens or companies are not accepted to open an account.
REQUIREMENTS FOR A PERSONAL ACCOUNT WITH CIM BANK IN SWITZERLAND
- A personal visit to the bank is not required, but the face-to-face meeting via webcam must be arranged after prior approval of the account.
- A minimum initial deposit of $5,000 USD will be required.
- The minimum remaining account balance is 1,000 USD.
- Account opening time. The account will be activated within 7-10 business days after the bank receives all the completed forms and relevant information.
REQUIRED PAPERS
- Notarized copy of a valid passport. The passport must be signed and the signature must match the signature on the application form. The photograph must be clear and of good quality.
- A government-issued tax return or proof of address is required.
- Original or notarized copy of the banker's reference letter dated less than 3 months.

CIM Bank was founded in 1990 and offers traditional Swiss private banking services to private and corporate clients. The bank is located in Geneva, Lugano and Wollerau. The CIM Bank is regulated by the Swiss Financial Market Authority (FINMA) and is a member of the Swiss Bankers Association (SBA) and the SIX Swiss Exchange. In 2012, CIM Bank acquired the Croatian bank Primorska.

The approximate timeframe for the allocation of accounts is 7 to 10 working days from receipt of the original documents by the bank.
TARIFFS AND BANK CHARGES
CIM Banque can be considered as a medium cost bank as far as account maintenance and bank transfer fees are concerned. Fees for incoming funds depend on the amount of the transaction and vary from CHF 15 to CHF 550. The fee for incoming payments over CHF 1,500,000 is 0.035% of the transaction amount.
Bank charges for outgoing payments sent via the e-banking system vary between CHF 3.50 and CHF 450. For outgoing payments over CHF 1,000,000, the bank will charge 0.025% of the transaction amount.
Personal account management costs amount to CHF 90 per quarter.
